Lee Martin375 SuperMag Contender.....
I just built this Contender barrel in 375 SuperMag and thought I'd post of a picture....
Here's how it shoots (5 shots @ 50 yards off the bench)

WhitworthLee, that's nice! Have you done much load development for it? Just curious and the reason I ask is that I almost bought a Ruger SA revolver in .375 Maximum many years ago and am sorry I didn't........

Lee MartinWhitworth....yes, I've worked with the round for 15 years or so (I collect Sevilles & El Dorados and have quite a few in 375 SuperMag). Just curious, are you sure the 375 you saw was a Ruger? If so, it was a custom job because the Blackhawk Maximum was never offered in 375.

WhitworthMy bust, Lee, I misread your post. I was thinking .357 Maximum.....lack of sleep makes me punchy......sorry for the confusion, but I'm still curious as to the ballistics if you don't mind sharing.

Lee MartinWhitworth....using a 10.5" (or greater) barrel, the 375 SuperMag can push 220 grain bullets to 1,800 fps and 245s to 1,650.

shortgunThe 375 super mag is a shortened 375 Winchester.Developed to fit in a revolver cylinder. I believe it was for sillywet shooting and developed by Elgin Gates. First chambered by Dan Wesson I believe.

blaser93I have a Dan Wesson in the .375 SuperMag and some 300 orignal sillywet .375 rounds.
Looks great. Did you make the block and weld the barrel to it and everything?
I remember reading on the SSK site about their barrels being Electron Beam welded. What is Electron Beam welding anyway?
Whitworth-The 375 Max can be made from cut down 30-30 cases also.

Lee MartinLar45....yes, we built the blocks and weld them to the barrel. The bolt assembly and extractor come from Thompson Center's parts catalog.
