Not a World Cup level game, but about 40 minutes ago the United States Air Force Academy Women’s Rugby Team won the Division 1 National Championship besting Navy 26-10.

This makes them back to back National Champions as well as the defending 7’s Champions (they will defend that title in May).

Only two schools have ever gone back to back and only two schools have done it on two different occasions. Air Force and Penn State.

As a former coach of the team for 12.5 years some of this years seniors are the last of the players I coached when they were 4 Degrees (Freshmen).
