Here is a beautifully made custom knife by a local Bladesmith Joshua Clarke. This is his "Boot and Belt" model which is a sleek drop point design. It has been a popular knife .


These are flat ground from US made 1095 steel and are 1/8" thick at the spine. It is ground thin with a hand rubbed satin finish with a swedge ground tip . Joshua's deeply stamped "Broadsword" maker's mark is on the blade..

They have an industrial grade heat treat ( IPeters) at 58 Rockwell.

The knife is 8.75" long with a 4.50" blade. The fit and finish on this knife is top notch. The handle is a sleek birdshead style with with richly colored and black streaked Central American Cocobolo wood Burl scales . The wood was hand selected for this knife and us 100% figired with heavy streaking and contrast..

They are attached with Brownells Acraglass with heavy guage hand set brass pins and were finished with Josh's blend of Marine grade Spar varnish and Tung oil for a traditional looking, yet weatherproof finish.

One of Josh's shop made Dark Brown Bridle leather sheaths.They are all hand saddle stitched and have a full welt.
