Working on a Rolling Block mod2 and lining the barrel and other minor rework. I will be shooting 100 grain coated lead bullets. What primers and powder needed.
I have Her. Unique and 2400, Bullseye,4198, Winchester 452AA, 231, and 296. I have never shot lead and some said it needs a wad? I do not care to shoot hot loads.
Any help will be appreciated.

I cant help you with a load. My cast reloading manual list only 91gr and 115 gr cast bullets, it is mostly powders like Red Dot, Green Dot, Unique.
Primers are cci500 or 6 1/2-116..
I have a Marlin and shoot much higher pressures.
I like the 100gr xtp Hornady bullets.

I've played with the 32-20 guite a bit, in both rifles and revolvers. Best results have been with low to mid range loads with Unique and 2400. SR4759 worked well, but it's NLA. Small rifle primers. Never tried/used wads

pistol primers will work up to about 40-K in pressure and depending on the load your using they will be more than adequate.

one of my favorite 32-20 loads is 3.5grs of 700-X or bulls-eye under a 100gr cast bullet.

simple as that.
you might find a bit more accuracy a little above or below that with your coated bullets.

In a Winchester 1892, I had best results with IMR 4198 and Lyman 115 gr. lead bullets. My loads filled the case near the top, and were very consistent. I don't have my loading notes in front of me, but the load I was using was book max for strong actions.
