Had a rifle in this caliber built, only manual I have that has info is the Nosler. Does anyone load the 160 grain Barnes X for this combo? Or maybe the 150 grain X bullet. Got a 24 inch barrel.

the rule I usually go by is that a 150 grain bullet is just that... a 150 grain bullet no matter what brand. I don,t shoot the x bullets but I don't see there being a substantial difference in them and any other bullet unless yoare already usisg a near 100% capacity load. If so then you might want to try differen't powder to avoid over compressed loads.

In theory you should cut back 5% to 10% from max on a BarnesX or any monolithic, as they do create more pressure...They definately raise pressures.
