This is driving me crazy. All I want is a set of .32 S&W dies. I don't want .32 S&W Long, H&R, Colt, etc. Does anyone know who is selling them? I have a sweet little pocket pistol that I need to reload some cartidges for and some fun.

I tried to deal with sales people at the die companies and got only one for sure answer. Lyman told me they don't make these dies any more. Now I have a gun that I will have to buy factory ammo at a rediculous prices.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Group E dies I think. Might cost more than the pistol.

I believe the .32 s&w and .32 s&w long use the same dies. They will also work for the .32 acp. They show up on e-bay from time to time.

Thanks guys,
I guess I will have to take the plunge and buy the dies.

I hope that the seating ram will go down far enough to seat the bullet. If it does I will be happy. Wink

I load 32s&W with 32 S&W Long dies.

Break top revolvers see a stress on the latch from recoil force on the upper half of the barrel mass and from bullet friction.

In 100 year old 32sw breaktops, that may be on a 2-56 latch screw in double shear. The eye of the latch that captures the screw is very thin and can be easily stretched from a round hole to oblong. That in turn, causes the action to be loose.

The cylinder may be capable of some high pressure, but the loads should be aimed at keeping recoil and bullet friction down.

I like .5 gr of Bullseye and .310" soft lead ball.

Black powder might have had a smother recoil than smokeless pistol powder.

I use a set of 32S&W Long dies. I put the bullet seating die in a lathe and shortened it the lenght difference between S&L.

I think 32acp dies will work too.

I think 32 S&W long brass can be trimmed to work.
