i went elephant hunting back in 2013 with my 460 wby loaded with 500gr nosler solids and had them shooting 1 1/4" groups at 2550 fps.

problem is that ive since lost my load data and i now need to load some more ammo. i was wondering if you guys can provide any help as i can find zero data on the web and nosler is anything but helpful.

what i can remember is that i was using 112 gr of powder but i cant remember which type.

any and all load data you guys can provide on this round would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance

tony

Do you have any rounds? Break them down, weigh the charge, and look at the powder. At least ball or stick, color and size. Compare it to what you have on the shelf or did you load till the powder was gone?

The great thing about the .460 is that there's so much velocity that a few fps one way or the other are meaningless. It's also surprising how accurate the big bores can be. I'll bet your rifle really isn't that sensitive and that you can find a number of loads in the 500gr/2500 fps range that are quite accurate.

Otherwise, you can get a subscription to loaddata.com and look through all of the published loads.

To be honest, my bet is that its RL19.
