Looking for a standard/low pressure load for the 45 Colt using AA#5 under a 250gr coated RNFP.

If anyone has done this and is willing to share their starting load info that would be appreciated.

Appreciate the fast reply but they don't have that close of a match - The closest 250 they list is for a plated bullet; they also have a jacketed (xtp). Going up in weight the nest nearest is an swc. Going down (a few times) in weight are all jacketed.

They list this which I would use as-is:

250 (L) LC SWC 5.9 790 7.0 888 13,750 1.604

Coated, plated and bare cast lead are all pretty interchangeable for loads, with pretty equal pressures. Jacketed are thicker, and harder to engrave in the rifling, so give higher pressures. I agree completely with z1r's post.
