Let's see. none of you live in the country and can appreciate how cats can keep your barns free of rats, and mice. I consider cat shooters low life punks. .......

we have a woman who hoards cat down the road from the farm and now we have dozens of feral cats running around killing anything they can,
chickens, native birds, small reptiles etc. they even had a go at my mates newborn lambs this year and this to the fox problem it makes it really had to for him to make a living so every FERAL cat we shoot inproves the local ecosytem and by shooting we dont have the bycatch of using posions.

Seem like the holidays brought out a bunch of people throwing things away. A friend who has a farm right outside of town just called and told me he has atleast 6 new boarders, Seems the cat owners toss out their old cats at his farm. He has around 40 1 week old chicks and 6 have been killed allready. Going with a couple of traps tomorrow to help catch them. Irresponsible cat owners Mad

Cats are efficient killers and when they wonder to far from the farm house they get shot where I'm from. They tend to kill the quail off.

If you are a Cat lover and have them as pets, the best thing you can do for them is kill every stray cat you see. Stray cats can have rabies, distemper, fleas and feline TB.Besides its fun to watch them explode when you hit them with a 40 gr.ballistic Tip!!! popcorn

I live in the country and have a barn cat that takes care of the place but a few years ago he looked kinda rough been fighting more than usual and looked like he was losing hair.
I figured he had some stray cat competition so I set a live trap with cat food in it. That night and the next I caught 11 cats!
I had never seen even one in the daylight around our place but 11!.
I love the live trap method because they are easy to shoot in the head after you get them in the trap then bag them for the garbage man and spray the blood off the trap then reset it with bait and do it again.
Don't get me wrong I like cats but I don't need a bunch of feral cats beating up my barn cat and bringing diseases in.

i too live on a farm, with too many cats that people from town "drop off". when given the opportunity, i shoot em'. if you can't take proper care of your pets, have the decency to put them down. i have no respect for pet owners who take their animals for that "last ride in the country", and drop them off. i dislike killing any domestic animal, but once i see them 2-3 times around here, i am forced to handle the problem.

Blaming city folks for feral cats in your barn is dishonest. A citified house cat is easy to tell from a feral cat.
I have lived in the country a large part of my life. I have never had a feral cat that was tracable back to city people dumping.
Truth is a lot of punks just hate cats.

To me, it seems like there are more feral cats in the city than there are in the country. I have more problems with cats at my house in town than I ever had out at the family farm. The only difference is I can't shoot the little bastards in town.

We actually have a place near where I live that traps feral cats, sedates them long enough to spay/neuter them, then turns them back loose to eat all the birds, rabbits, chipmunks, and squirrels they can catch Mad

I finally caught up with one that had been pissing on my front door. Cornered him at the edge of the a canal will a little help from a neighbors weenie dog. The look on that dogs face was priceless when I dispatched it with my 45-70. Cat was there, then cat wasn't there. BOOM

Here in Cairo, there are millions of wild, stray cats. The locals like them but no one takes them in. Next door to my flat a lady was feeding 26 each day. After I got my Gamo smuggled in, we are down to a manageable 4 or 5. Easy to deal with if you have enough ammo.

I have a collection of collars tacked to the inside of my barn door that says you're talking out your rectum. I have three good mousers that I feed enough to keep around but there is constant invasions of city crats looking for loving or fighting. It doesn't end well for them but at least I get to practice making the Crimson Mist. Cool

Are Aussies a bunch of pussies? There is an effective treatment for this.

Had a front-page story in local paper last month--case of rabies in feral cat reported in the county-- thumbdown
