for Ptarmigan, spruce hens, arctic hare and snowshoe's, and beaver. a ruger 10/22 , remington 870 LW mag 20ga and a tc contender super 16 in 22 hornet are on my list. these serve thier purpose up in the YK Dela.. tu2

it should work fine. I once had a ruger mkII with 4" tube on it long ago. did alot shooting with it. damn near got to pointing it, knowing where the impact was going to be. but, it's gone now. never owned another after that.

I'd go for a 17 HMR. Very accurate.

got a 17 hmr a few years back. decent lil shooter. had it for a couple months, didn't shoot it much. gave it to my nephew.

I use a 22 L.R. Smith and Wesson kit gun with a 4" barrel...A 38 or 357 with rat shot works pretty good in some areas..
