I thought I would post a couple of photos of the fox mount I received from the taxidermist recently.

I was whistling for foxes one night when I shot this nice vixen.

I made the base from a Red Gum burl and the old post is also from Red Gum with an old insulator I found in my travels.

Could have put a bit of a sly smile on your fox

Who did the work mate?

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

It's on a base. I made the base myself from a big Red Gum burl and added the post with the electric fence insulator.

Fine looking mount.

I have maybe a dozen of those old insulators.

No intentions to use 'em.

Taking Dad to the eye dr one day I saw a dead red next to the median wall and told him. "turn around and go get it". So I did.

Must have had a heart attack. Not a skinned spot or bruise anywhere on the body even after I skinned it. Had the hide tanned and just hanging on a mulie's horn.
