The most Adrenalin pumping hunt I have been on. Baiting is not allowed so tracked these lions for 9 day on foot, before getting an opportunity

On multiple occasions getting to within 15-20 yards of groups of females and young males in thick cover.

Nicely done. I like the fact that it was done as it appeared in life (I assume) rather than made into something it never could have been.

Very nice Doc. I like the dry grass and red soil of the base, just like BF. Lord knows how many lions we have walked passed over there in the high grass! A client of ours shot a waterbuck last year and as they were walking up to it a lioness appeared from no where and claimed the dead waterbuck. She was not happy when they chased her off and even chased the truck finally!

Great lion, but what draws my eyes is the ele European mount! Such a great looking trophy, and so few people keep the skull.

Thank you everyone, I think the Taxidermist did an excellent job of capturing what I wanted in this lion display. The lion has his eyes locked on some prey as he proceeds towards it.

Thank you Overland, I always wanted a skull mount for my Ele, for me it adds a special charm, I also brought back a couple of thoracic vertebrae that you can see in that photo as well as one of the femurs, which is in front of the Skull.

A true statement. Cat mounts can get wonky very quickly, especially in the face and eyes.

There is a lot to like about that mount. Well done.

Who did the ele skull and tusks? Are the tusks in the skull mount replicas with the real ivory on the bases in another photo, or are the real ones in the skull?

I brought back an ele skull a few years ago and have it sitting at my camp outside where it is slowly deteriorating in the elements. I like what you've done - and it will last many lifetimes.

you properly respect what you are after, and shoot it cleanly and on

Hello

The Elephant skull has replica tusks, the real tusks are on bases on either side of the fireplace, both were done by Highveld Taxidermists in South Africa. He also built the base on which the Ele skull hangs.

The European mount is of a Red Deer I shot in Bulgaria and they are the ones who bleached the skull, so I did not send it to a taxidermist.
