9.3 mm molds?
I'm debating building a 9.3X62, and figure this is a natural for a ~300 gr mold. Just wondering what makers offer molds, and any comments on how they work.

Paul, NEI makes a 304 gc, semi round nose. it uses the .358 gc (i think), as i looked in to this before the 458 wm.

Hey Paul your almost on the same track as I am. I'm looking into a mould in the 250 grain range for my 9.3X57. Think I'll try to contact Applegate as he is making LBT style moulds.

Allen,

NEI has such a beast. I've cast with an applegate, for whatever reason, I never was that fond of the brass mold. I don't know if he's caught up or not, but his delivery times have been on the longer side.

So tell me about the 9.3X57, sounds interesting? Did you build it, or was it one of those things you came accross and it was a deal you couldn't pass up.

I have been looking for a 275-300 grain LBT style mold for the 9.3. I imagine I'll have to have something made up. If anyone would like to cooperate I'd be more than willing to split the cost of the cherry and reduce the cost of the mold via multiple order.

If you are going the custom route, I have stong preference for Balisticast. I'm not sure what they'd charge, or how many we'd have to order to get a break, but their molds are first class.

Have you checked out the NEI 304 gr mold? Not quite and LBT design, but still it has a decent sized meplat.

Paul it was one of those things that came along and could not pass up. Bought it from the forums here. Built on a Husqvarna commercial Swede 96 action. Lightweight and when I put it to the shoulder, everything lines up perfectly. Sure wish firearm manufactures could make this quality of a firearm in this day and age. Nice little rifle. Of course load data is rather scarce so I will be extrapolating 358 Win data with some of the newer powders and 250 grain bullet.
