Did anyone try the Red Rooster Hi Velocity Rifle lube. Wondered if it would be worth trying in rifle. Mixing my own Alox/beewax at the moment but a mit messy and the Red Rooster looks neat. Can it take 2000+feet in a rifle ?

I did some comparison tests with Rooster HVR in a 357 wheelgun with full throttle loads. It is the cleanest lube that I have tried (so far) in that gun, it produced the lowest extreme spread in velocity, and the 2nd highest average velocity. It wasn't quite as accurate as some other lubes, but that may just be a peculiarity of this particular gun.

In a rifle, Rooster did fine at 1550 fps but not-so-great at 2800 fps. I haven't tested it at any other velocities.
