A bud of mine has a boatload of it... anyone ever used it? He says it's really soft.

I've melted lots of it down and probably have 75 pounds of it left. It's just about pure lead, good stuff as is for muzzleloaders or you can mix it with linotype and wheelweights for your own alloy.

Good stuff, mostly pure lead.
Easy to cut up and put in the melt pot.
Great for m/loaders as is.
Hint, the joints are probably soldered together with 50/50 bar solder, a good source of tin.

Thanks, He's got a brother-in-law that runs a junkyard too... wheel weights galore.

Next question: Can you recommend a good book with a how-to for casting? I bought a Lyman cast bullet manual 3d edition, but the copyright is like 1980 and that is the most recent edition they have out...no new powders listed in their load info. [Frown]
