ALL:

I just got this email from Mr Potterfield at MidwayUSA. There have been
several delays in getting the project going, some from my end,
and some because of Mr Potterfield's schedule. But, this email is good
news!

Quote:

Everything is now in order and the four molds we have been
working on will be ordered next Tuesday, January 14. Lee should
provide us with a delivery time shortly after that, which I will
forward to you along with the product numbers.

Let me apologize for the elapsed time this project has taken. I
am a bit of a stickler for doing things right and delegating only those
things that are routine. Although we have many good people here,
no one has ever worked to set up a project of this nature, thus I
took it for myself.

Unfortunately all of my time is already spoken for, so it is
difficult to fit something additional in. Nonetheless, we got here, and
have established the foundation to make it easily repeatable.

At this time, we can proceed with a second group of molds, if
you like.

We will need the following:

Mold number, following the standards we have established.
Number of Cavities
Drawing, that includes all of the standards we have established

Thanks for the opporltunity to help your group with this
project and please extend my warmest regards.

Larry

So, we are getting close to the time when we can order the molds. As soon as the product numbers are assigned, I'll post them here.

And, we can start getting ready for the next batch of batorboolit molds.
Now's the time to review the proposed designs in the link below and decide what molds we want to order next. This next iteration will go much more quickly
because we've worked out the bugs, and the orders after that even faster because a routine will be established and people will be assigned to the task
instead of Midway's President doing it all personally, fitting it into his busy
schedule.

Grumble,

I came in late. What are the four moulds that are coming soon?

The four custom molds in the current order from Midway are the designs pictured at:

http://www.gilanet.com/batorboolits/

The heavy 358 will be a 6-hole mold, the 200 gr 358 will be a 2-cavity, and because of length, the 311 and 316 will be singles. (Yeah, I know -- wish Lee would make deeper blocks for their 2-cavity molds.)

Will the 260 gr .358" be a single cavity? So how do I order?

Think straight lino would get the .316 to drop at .318?

I got an 8x72 JR Sauer that doesn't get shot near enough.
