Went to the range today trying some cast bullets out of my Ruger #1 405 Winchester. Looks like I might have some promising loads.

I had Mountain Molds make me a 350 grain GC'd mold for my Winchester 95. I use a hard alloy water quenched and LBT Blue. Several of the fellows on this site put me onto the correct powder, IMR3031 for this bullet weight.

Gorgeous bullet and a heck of a group. I have seen (and owned...) center fires that wouldn't group jacketed projectiles that well!
