lead insulators?

lead insulators?
i came across what one guy says is lead insulators,2-1/2in long X 1-1/2 thick est..they are ringed,anybody know these or if they are pure lead,thanks sean

Last time I knew lead was a conductor not an insulator. If these were in fact some type of insulator for electrical equipment I doubt they are lead. I would be curious to know what they are myself.

there posts for screwing on an insulator I am a lineman and the one we have now are steel with lead poured heads the reason they use them is that you can get a crush fit when screwing on an insulator without cracking the porcelin insulator I would guess there pure lead
