Load info on 7383
1. The first rifle The 7383 was loaded in was my military 6.5x55. 29 1/2" barrel mil. trigger 3to9 power scope.Win mag primers in RP brass.
A. 140gr. rem. pspw/c 39.5gr. 7383 good crimp.
first 3 shots 3/4" group at 100 yds.
next 4 shots hot barrel 1/2" group

B.140gr Hpbt. maker?? 39.5gr. 7383 no crimp
10 shot 2 1/2" group.

2.The second rifle was a Ruger stainless varmint in .243 All were loaded with virgin win. brass that was hand selected, deburred and trimmed. In all the loads the powder came right to the junction of shoulder and neck. All burned clean no noticeable powder residue.
A.80gr.hpw/c 41gr.7383 crimped Win mag. primer About a 1 1/2" group 10 shots. My be a little larger but not much. Primers were just begining to flaten. No other pressure sign. not max.
B.Same loading 75gr. hp Horn. 9 shot 3/4" group One of 10 shots was an inch out.Not max.
C. 80gr. pspw/c crimped 40.3gr 7383 CCI mag. Primer 1 1/2" 10 shot group.
D.Same 80gr.sierra psp 4 shot 1/4" group. 8 shot 3/8" group. Shots 9& 10 were touching but had moved 3/4" left.I was just loading and shoting as fast as I could regain the sight picture. The barrel was smoking hot.

Loads were fired in the .257 Roberts and the .270. These were loaded useing 7383 with near max. recommended load charges for IMR4064. They were mild accurate and burned clean.
This seems to be great stuff when used with other proper components. And Hi- Tech gave me a free pen. Now who is going to fill up the truck and bring a load of it to California? [Big Grin] [Smile]
