Last year i started cast bullets for my .444 Marlin with the LEE 310 mould, so im pretty new to casting but know the basics.......

It looks like im getting a Marlin 1894 cl in .218 BEE been wondering about cast bullets for it ?? Would welcome any experince ?? Obviously a bullet suitable for tubular mag would be better......

Regards Englander

I cast some .22 bullets a while ago, using a Lyman mold. I definitly recommend gas checks, of which I just happen to have a box quite cheap. Cast bullets worked fine in a .222 and a hornet, but you only get about .22 mag velocities at best. Fun to play with, but with .22 ammo so cheap, and jacketed bullets, especially military surplus available, I haven't cast any for some time.

Think the gas checks would make it through international mail? I'd sell the box of 1000 for $7 and shipping!
