Casting for the .416 Rem
Dear All

Objective: To cast bullets for my .416 Rem
Challenge: Dies are almost impossible to find in South Africa
Request: Is there anybody out there who are prepared to help me obtain moulds for the .416?

Kind regards

Sure,
How hard can it be to UPS a mould to S.A.? What mould are you looking at? Here is an Austrailian Co.who has .416 bullet moulds listed.

Can't find anything from any of the major US players(Lyman,Lee, Etc)

There is also a company called NEI which is here in Oregon. There single bullet moulds run $70 I believe. Here is their info:

Andre RCBS makes a 416 also. Don G, one of the moderators around here bought this one and had decent success with it I believe. Maybe he'll see this thread and comment.

What's the bullet going to be used for-- practice? What speeds are you looking for?

Thanks for the response

I hope to be able to shoot the 416 more often and to use it for warthog and impala in bush country. My Winchester model 70 is too nice a rifle to use only on the large stuff. Ranges will be less than 100m and a 300 - 350gr bullet at 1800 - 2000ft/s will be more than adequate(?)
