I hope these are the final dimensions. The gas check is as-measured. The base is dimensioned to fit the dimensions of Hornady GC's - Lee will probably adjust these (from past experience) and that's OK - they did well.

Note the volume - calculated from CAD, weight from my experience on what MY wheel weight alloy runs (your mileage may vary).

"Perfecto! Count me in. ... felix"

Guessing here, and fiddling with RCBS Load graphs;
With a Sectional Density of .17 driven at 2000fps, I'm assuming a BC of approximately the same, sighted in at 125yds, this should give a "minute of groundhog", (4" diameter target), out to about 150yds, with a muzzle energy of ~700pounds, and at that PB range, about half that, or 350#. VERY respectable IMHO!
Lookin' real good gentlemen, hats off to all contributors.

Lee just jacked up the price on orders of under a hundred molds to $50. Looks like the delivered cost will be $56 or $57. I'm still game if y'all are.

The good news that they are real reasonable on sizing dies. They'll do a custom run of 25 for $11 and change each. Call it $13 to cover their shipping to me. No shipping to you with a mould 'cause I'm gonna wrap the sizer and the LA in a little bubble wrap and stuff them in the mould box. Same deal on the sizer, tentatively .259. Fifteen orders and I front the rest. Any still left unpaid for when I get the order from Lee are mine and I sell them at a markup.

I would like to get on the list for the TLC258 mold. Could you post an order sheet or your mailing address to send a check? Or e-mail the info to me if you prefer.

Also, are you also taking orders for a plain-based version, or was all the interest in the gas-checked version?

Thanks.

For everyone's information, here is the current status of the project from Leftoverdj as of 20 June:

"I'll post an order form when we are ready to go. Order form will offer both GC and PB versions and a .259 Lee sizer as well. The PB version drawing should be up within a week or so.

After the order form is up, we'll allow three weeks to a month for the orders to come in and then place the order with Lee. Need 15 prepaid orders for each item for me to front the money for the 25 minimum. I think we'll make it, even with the price increase. We were close without even having a final drawing before the price increase."

Let's all support this as obviously a lot of great work went into it.

Cool, maybe start a new thread with the order form and payment updates so we can keep track of it better?

I'm ready.

Now I just have to get a 25-20.
You are going to garuntee that I get great accuracy with it in my 25-06 at 3300fps.

Sign me up for one of the 25 cal. GC if we get an order togrther.
I will be on and off line for a while for a while now to get some internal plumbing redone, my gut is not behaving, so if the order is a go, please send me an e-mail.
Thanks - Lew

I just hope they shoot as well as they look.

Don't worry, Tim, they will shoot exceptionally well if they can be made to fit the gun on hand. Buyers, having short necked cases, or short throat guns in 25 caliber, might consider having nose first sizing dies made to make the boolit's nose fit their tightest fitting gun. The bearing distance on this boolit design is quite long for most short necked cartridges. That is my ONLY concern for guns other than the 25-20 types. ... felix

felix,
I reckin a lil' extra squeeeeeeze on the lever, or bolt, should engrave nicely! Boy, am I finding out that that helps with accuracy. Nice consistent ballistics too.
Thanks very much for your input.
