I read somewhere ( cannot recall where exactly ) that there was once a product that work great for eliminating leading . It was sheets of wax that the reloader would puch over the case after loading the powder . It would then sit snugly under the bullet and when fired created the necessary seal around the bullet .

Anybody used this ?

If it could work I would like to use dental wax ( sheets of hardened but bendable wax ) and try to achieve the same result . Could be a foolish idea and if it is , somebody stop me ....

Yspen...That stuff was soft gas checks....sold by CF Ventures up in Ohio.

I'd give the dental wax a try. It should work. All you're attempting to do is seal/protect the base edge/barrel junction where blow-by and leading starts. It may work out fine.

If I had some, I'd have no hesitation in trying it. By cutting with the case mouth, it should seat with the bullet and remain in contact with the base.

Let us know how it works./beagle
