Out last night from 20:00 to 02:00 - saw 3 badgers at the bait and then a sow skitted around the fringes and shadows for 30 minutes but never gave me a shot before she moved on.

Tried again tonight at a different bait site which we call the "Swamp". A couple of pregnant roe does at the salt lick and then this fellow came in around 22:30. Nervous and in and out of the sidelines to the bait site.

CZ .30-06 shooting 170 grain Geco factory loads from a high tower - lhs top lung and low exit rhs. He went about 40 meters with a great blood trail. Dragged him out of the swamp / woods, loaded him in the Landy Tdi 90 and gutted and cleaned up and home by midnight!

1 1/2 to 2 year old boar and will go 35-40 kgs gutted / dressed.

I do love hunting pigs!
