Walked in to my trap to check cam cards (too wet to drive) and this is what I found:

Was trying to just post from my e-mail without posting the picture on imgur--

All I find is an advertisement for GMail.

Hmmm...all that untouched corn means they are boycotting you until their "lost" family members are returned safely. Big Grin

Bobby--if that's the case I have the "remnants" of the last 10 in my freezer.

And, by the way, why are they at the feeder 50-yds away every night? It's the same corn batch in both feeders.

Too much corn is dropped from the other one.
Cut it back and they'll come to this one.
Might be there's not as many of 'em as there used to be.

Have fun, kill 'em all you can, makes for more
pictures!

Time to move the trap or move the feeder?

Game cam pics show 3 to 15 at the other feeder every night--maybe it is time to paint a golden trail from the active feeder to the trap feeder again---

Gonna paint a "yellow corn road" from the other feeder to this trap pen tomorrow and set the trap. Most of the corn inside was eaten by the deer and turkeys, or else has sprouted with the recent rains.

Went to my other place and looked like nothing had been under the feeder for a few days. When I looked at the feeder timer, it showed "Battery Poor" and then the cam cards confirmed--hasn't been feeding for several days. Headed back with a freshly charged battery and will test the solar panel as well. Already ordered a new panel--if this one is still good, I'll have a spare. Gonna fill the feeder on top of the trap and set the trap too---got a big sounder coming almost every night--but too late for this old guy to sit up and watch.

Yep--I know the song, and I saw in the picture that "Whispering Bill" is also left-handed as I am. Maybe I need to download the song on my phone and play it for them?

And, I diagnosed the problem with the feeder---bad solar panel. When I got it home and took a close look at it, one of the wires on the back was broken at the soldered joint. I re-soldered it but still no juice, so it went into the recycle bin. Received the replacement today but I'm not going to put it in service as I have to halt hog hunting end of the month so landowner and his sons can hunt deer. Frowner
