Down and OUT, with a Benjamin Discovery PCP air rifle. I was amazed.

Down and dead for sure---couldn't tell the impact point but sure looked to be in the ear-hole

About 20 years ago, we had a pest problem outside my studio. I sighted in a Marlin 39A with CB Shorts and went to take care of the issue late one night. Worked like a charm. Smiler

On the way home, I turned into our driveway, and a medium-sized boar ran out and stopped in the headlights. I thought twice about it, but he was perfectly still and about the range I was sighted in for. So I took the shot, and he dropped just like the one in the video. Not sure I would want to do it again, but that little 29 grain payload at 700-fps certainly did the trick that particular time.

So it is the earhole, and not some line between earhole and eye, that's the jackpot?

On my shot, the hog was at a slight angle quartering towards me. I put the crosshairs just over the eye.

The air rifle scene in my area is growing quite a bit. One of the local gun stores has 15+ on the shelf in all sorts of calibers.

I've done some decent pest control with a Marlin 39a and some 22 shorts as well Bobby Big Grin works great

I never had nor tried an airgun.
But, a .22 sure does the trick.
