This big boy is a regular, and has been for a month-plus. I missed him last time out but tomorrow night it will be different!!! Plus I am going to put out my Duke's dog proof coon traps----too many of those ring-tailed pests eating hog/deer corn. It's NOT coon corn!

And, checked my other place I haven't hunted since I "eliminated" an entire sounder of 26 at one trapping. Landowner said there was one big, smart solitary boar and that was all--here he is. Can you smell him?

And here are his buddies--

Nice.

The lone boars wear me out at times... random places and short visits, damn difficult to corner them. It took me about 6 weeks to get the last one and I damn near threw in the towel on the whole hog killing situation.
Good Luck!

Well--the smaller of the two boars at my local spot trapped himself, and paid. Only one other pig showing up -- that one in the first post above. If I am able to kill him, I would be without hogs for the first time in the 10+ years I have been after them at this place. Since there are hogs in the next drainage about a mile east, I'm betting they will repopulate sooner rather than later.

Have also taken out 3 trash pandas this week---maybe the corn will last a bit longer. It's $11.25 a 50 lb sack now--

Didn't catch any coons using corn and hogs haven't been back so I rebaited last night with my go-to bait--banana flavored Moon Pie--and caught two more.
