what gun for a Burris compact 2-7? I have a glossy Burris compact rifle scope 2-7x33 I am not having much luck selling right now and was wondering if ya'll had any ideas on what gun this little scope might fit well on? I really don't want to take the scope to E-bay to sell it, but might end up doing it any way...but it seems like a good enough excuse to buy another gun! | ||

It's the perfect scope for a light weight hunting rifle like a Model 7. Dave- I think you need another gun for that scope (sounds like my kind of logic!). It would work like a charm on a TC Contender carbine barrel. A few years ago, I had one of the Burris compacts and put it on a heavy-barreled, bolt action .22 Magnum, where it served the purpose quite well and helped maintain the sleek lines of the little rifle. Neither the rimfire nor the Contender carbine have restrictions on scope length and thus are perfect candidates... And, those little Burris compacts have excellent optics. Mine fits very well on my CZ527 carbine. My Burris compact 3x9 fits nicely on my Browning ABolt in .257 Roberts.  Aut vincere aut mori | |||
