Saeed,

As you probably already know, the Daily Mail is the worst rag in England and I am surprised by the amount of their articles to which you provide links on AR.

Milo.

The Daily Mail is deep into "yellow Journalism" their facts are very seldom correct.

Thanks to Saeed for allowing us to keep up on the nutters out there.

Nothing shall ever detract from the fact that Ian was a wonderful person who brought sunshine into the world wherever he went.

Thanks to everyone who has shared their respect and love for Ian, his Family and Friends, the remainder can all go to Hell!

I meet Ian several times over the years at SCI. He was always a character and always fun to be around. He once spent 10 minutes describing the scar on his arm to me. He told me a wild tale of having stuck his arm down a leopards throat and choking him from the inside out. At the end of the story just before the epic conclusion he gets a sly grin on his face and says "not really, I cut it on a broken window.." Big Grin

"God watching over him" once dead and gone is quite pointless wouldn't you think?

Jorge,

I realized those were your words. I probably should have been more clear that my post was directed at Fu. To that end: You stay classy Fu Fu.

I think that is a bit harsh on Fujo. He's been there and done that and I think his comment is just about that. He's African, and a PH; they all put themselves in harms way.

I don't think he intended anything to take away from the loss of Ian. It's simply a recognition of reality.

My personal opinion, of course.

That's a hell of a tribute. Suspect five or six (not hundreds) would come to mine and that includes family.

There were indeed over 500 friends at the service. No dry eyes, speeches interupted by tears, and efforts to choke back the grief felt by those remembering their own special times with Ian. Gibbo belonged to so many people, in so many roles, and the knowledge that we now only have the memories of the man are still very difficult to choke down. Please believe me when I tell you how deeply his family has been moved by the tributes posted here on AR. Gibbo will live on in our hearts, and our stories around future campfires. And he would have had it no other way...
