Saeed: The problem is that we as hunters are doing a terrible job at setting the facts straight. This is a war and we are losing because of a lack of a coherent response to the endless attacks. The main players in our court have sadly lost the narrative because of their stupid ill considered emphasis on self glorification through trophy competitions. Part of our problem IMO is that many of the media presentations on hunting are productions by young hunters and huntresses who have made hunting a source of income ! Many of these presentations are infantile, some part soft porn and self glorification. The TV hunt productions put forth by trade fall in the same category. They fail wholly to convey the message and IMO are doing more harm than good. | |||

It is not the writer of that piece we need dialogue with. It is his reader who is uneducated and emotional we need a dialogue with. When one rebuts, he does not speak to the proposition in hopes of changing the advocates mind. The rebuttal is for the mind of the Judge or Jury. That is the market place of ideas.
