Has anyone tried this kit for molding Polymer lower receivers? It got good marks in Firearm News and a new AR10 mold is in the works. Its $330 for a kit that does 5-6 lowers. Refills are $130. I suppose it depends on fillers added, Strontium Aluminum powder for a glow in the dark, why anyone would want that option is unclear. Adding aluminum powder and or fiberglass matting would of course change weight and number of lowers from each kit. I may give it a try but I know that some on AR will jump in with both feet and handy hints will abound.

Mould making and pouring is a lot of work for, in this instance, very little gain. Figure the price of an aluminum lower vs. the cost of pouring poly lowers, also the poly lowers aren't going to hold up as well.

If you delve into this a vacuum chamber will be a big help.
