I have acquired a Leman's percussion trade rifle.

Any body here that might help me further ID what I have.

You might get ahold of Muzzleloader magazine. They might be able to direct you to those that could help.

Another source is the Buffalo Bill museum in Cody Wyoming, they definitely can help.

Call 314-739-8494 and ask for Greg Grimes
(Trail Creek Trade). You may want to email him some pics. He is an expert on Hawken, Dimick, Gemmer and all St. Louis and early trade rifles. He will be glad to speak with you about your Leman.

I have had the good fortune to handle a score of these rifles over the years that pass through his shop and his collector friends. Too rich for my blood.
