I posted this question on another site, but perhaps there are some people here who know the answers.

I have 2 Jeffery Rifles that are stamped with the following address. Does anyone know the time period when Jeffery was located here, and therefore the time period of manufacture?

WJ Jeffery & Co Ltd, 9 Golden Square , Regent Str, London W1

Also have 2 Mauser Actions with the following stamp on the receiver. Can anyone tell me the manufacture era of the rilfes?

Deutsche Waffen und Munitions Fabriken - Berlin

And this address:

Deutsche Waffen und Mintions Fabriken – Oberndorf.

Also a Cogswell & Harrison with this address:

Cogswell & Harrison Ltd London, 168 Picadilly. Supplied by TJ Goldings (PVT) Ltd, Gatooma.

This one may be easy:

Made in Austria , Original Mannlicher Schonauer, Model 1950 9,3x62â€

presumably made in 1950?

Many thanks-

(Also posted in Big Bore Forum for maximum exposure)

The Deutch Waffen Berlin actions are more than likely made somewhere around 1908 to 1915 or a little bit later. Those markings are prominent on both the 1908 Brazil and 1909 Argentine Mauser. I believer there were also a few other South American countries that contracted with that plant.
