This morning i was on my stand hunting and the cat went right below me. Was getting too late for the deer, so when it passed behind a tree and i was going to draw, but i couldn't. I wanted to get the cat, but i couldn't get the bow back. That's because in a tree stand is an awkward position. I can draw the bow back good from all positions because i made sure to practice that. But not from a tree stand. So, i decided to wind back the poundage from 40 lbs to 37, even though it hurts my pride to do that. Think i'll take target arrow along next time, too, for the cat.

That cat has got away from me three times. My husband didn't know about this and he mentioned that he could have killed a black cat that passed right under HIS stand. I guess he has good impulse control.
