Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle, and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"

- Adrian Eliot Hodgkin

Black Widow 66" longbow; 75# @ 28"; a single 916 grain Grizzlystik Safari / STOS arrow to the heart from 22 metres. Super quick kill. Had to really crawl on my belly like a snake to get close to this fellow. I need kneepads. Anyway, it was a dream come true, and I am so happy.

I remove my hat and bow deeply. You have a right to be very proud of that achievement. Fred Bear is smiling down at you.

Cool

P.S. Thank you for the Hodgkin quote. I have his book on the way.

My girlfriend had my Crocs 150m back. I stalked bare-foot. God gave us the best hunting boots for the final approach.

Ben,

Congrats on a remarkable accomplishment!

The discipline & self imposed restrictions needed for a hunting

with a longbow are immense.

Well done!
